meet bashi

as you may have noticed, i love dogs (and cats) and i’m also a big fan of taking pictures of dogs or cats. so i came up with the idea of offering dog owners to take pictures of their pets. bashi was the first dog i had in front of my lens, he’s a young and powerful crossbreed and reminded me a lot of my dog-fried kira (she has more fur though, but the fur colour is very similar). on top of that, his owner was very nice too, she’s a young woman around my age.

i had a great time shooting this beautiful boy :)

weekly photo challenge: let there be light!

because of a lack of time i missed some of the last few challenges, but this week’s theme is the perfect chance for me to re-enter the weekly photo challenge :)

light-3 light-4 light-7 light-8i took those pictures the same day as the pictures in my last post, on a cold and sunny winter morning in vienna.

morning sun

now it’s official… winter is here. on monday this week the temperatures sank noticeable and it snowed the first time this season.
you can imagine that all this came along with really bad weather, i didn’t see the sun for a while. so i was more than happy about a few hours of sunshine in the morning just the other day.

a foggy morning at the central cemetery in vienna

this morning me and a colleague from my photography class got up early to take some pictures at the central cemetery (zentralfriedhof) in vienna. the cemetery itself is huge and is divided into several different parts. today we were at the soldier part and at the old jewish part. we were hoping to see some deer and we were lucky, but couldn’t get close, the animals were very shy…
